Like a campus community, my work for CU Boulder is built to connect, inspire and create impact.
Since joining CU Boulder’s Advancement Marketing and Communications Team, I’ve helped bring the university’s mission to life through creative work that supports philanthropy, engagement and lifelong connection to the Buff community. Guided by the department’s core values of joy, collaboration, excellence and impact, I design across a wide range of touchpoints including fundraising proposals, impact reports, donor events and multi-channel campaigns. My work helps communicate the power of giving, creates meaningful experiences that energize and retain donors and builds excitement around initiatives like Buffs All In, the university’s annual giving day. From Homecoming celebrations to strategic fundraising communications, each project is designed to strengthen community, inspire pride and create lasting impact.

Buffs All In — CU Boulder’s Annual Giving Day
I supported this campaign through a full suite of creative assets including email headers, social media graphics, campus activations, thank-you cards, merchandise, event signage and partner resources that helped expand awareness and drive participation across the Buff community.
A Brand Refresh
When I joined the Buffs All In campaign, its visual identity centered on grit and resilience — dark tones, black-and-white photography, rugged typography and messaging that positioned the Buff community as a force that welcomes challenge and overcomes resistance. While powerful, the campaign had a narrower emotional range and a limited asset system.
In 2025, I helped evolve the brand into a more inclusive and energizing expression of philanthropy rooted in community, joy and shared momentum. The refreshed direction celebrated the idea that every gift matters and that collective generosity creates real impact. We reintroduced color through photography by highlighting iconic campus locations against black-and-white backgrounds, added gold sunbeams inspired by Colorado sunrises and sunsets, and expanded the visual toolkit with more imagery and flexible assets for broader campaign use.
In 2026, I further adapted the refreshed identity to align with CU Boulder’s 150th anniversary celebration. By incorporating paper textures, sticker elements, and commemorative details from the anniversary brand system, I helped create a campaign that honored the university’s history while maintaining the recognizable energy and momentum established in the previous year.
Partner Participation
To expand campus-wide participation, I created a suite of social media templates for our schools, colleges and partners across CU Boulder to promote Buffs All In through their own channels. Some assets were ready to use as-is for quick sharing, while others featured transparent backgrounds that could be dropped into Canva and customized with partner photography while maintaining a cohesive campaign look and feel. By reducing barriers to participation and making promotion simple, the toolkit helped generate stronger cross-campus support and broader visibility than in previous years.
Campus Activation
I designed an interactive paint-by-number activation for Buffs All In that invited students to participate in the giving day experience in a creative, hands-on way. Using a photo of campus as inspiration, I illustrated the scene and transformed it into a large-scale paint-by-number by simplifying the color palette to reduce paint costs, then adding numbered sections for easy participation. The final design was produced as an 8x10-foot banner and painted live by students during the event, becoming a standout attraction that generated excitement, engagement, and community spirit on campus.
Donor Relations Signature Events
For CU Advancement’s signature donor events, I design elevated invitation suites that help set the tone for meaningful, high-touch experiences. These pieces are created to feel personal, thoughtful and memorable — more keepsake than marketing collateral — while honoring CU’s brand standards. Each invitation balances elegance with intention, using refined typography, premium finishes and structural details such as unique folds and die cuts to build anticipation and reflect the importance of the occasion.
Beyond 150
Designed as a keepsake for top donors and key constituents, this invitation was created to feel more like a gift than a traditional mailer. Featuring an iconic CU building set against a bokeh night sky, the piece unfolds through interactive details — including a die-cut window with shifting messaging, a CU pin closure and a gold pull down flap to remove the invitation from the sleeve — paired with soft-touch stock and glossy text accents to create a refined, memorable experience.
Loyal Donor Dinner
Designed for CU’s most dedicated and long-standing supporters, this invitation suite reflects the significance of the audience through an elevated and thoughtfully crafted experience. Each piece balances elegant, minimalist design with refined details, incorporating CU gold, subtle floral elements and intentional typography. Unique folds, die cuts and pocket sleeves transform the invitation into something to be opened and explored — creating a tactile, memorable experience that feels far from a standard mailer and reinforces a sense of appreciation and care.

Impact Reports & Proposals
Designed to communicate the power of philanthropy, these materials translate giving into meaningful, tangible outcomes. Impact reports thank donors by showing how their support fuels student success, research, campus initiatives, and essential needs, while proposals help articulate future opportunities for impact. Through clear storytelling and thoughtful design, each piece is crafted to build trust, inspire continued support, and demonstrate how generosity can shape the future of CU and beyond.
